Official Data Management Policy for MealPlanner (Package: com.mealplanner.meal_planner_app)
Effective Date: October 3, 2026 | Last Updated: October 2026
1. In-App Deletion via App Settings (Instant & Recommended)
The fastest and most direct way to delete your MealPlanner account and all associated personal and nutrition data is directly from inside the mobile application:
Open the MealPlanner application on your Android device.
Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
In the ACCOUNT section, tap Delete Account & Data.
Review the confirmation dialog detailing the categories of data that will be permanently removed.
Tap Permanently Delete to confirm.
What Happens Immediately:
For registered accounts (Email/Password and Google Sign-In), the application transmits an authenticated deletion request to our synchronization server over HTTPS (POST /v1/auth/delete).
Our server atomically deletes your user record, credentials, active session tokens, and all cloud synchronization mutation logs from the server database in an immediate transaction.
Your local SQLite database (managed via Drift) is wiped clean of all food logs, custom recipes, meal plans, pantry items, shopping lists, and biometric history.
Encrypted authentication tokens stored in FlutterSecureStorage are cleared from your device, and you are signed out to the initial login screen.
2. Guest Account Deletion Behavior
If you use MealPlanner as a Guest (without registering an email/password or Google account):
Local Storage Only: All your food logs, custom recipes, meal plans, and biometric entries are stored exclusively on your device in an isolated local SQLite database. No personal credentials or nutrition logs are transmitted to or stored on our cloud servers.
Deletion Process: Navigating to Settings > Delete Account & Data and tapping Permanently Delete instantly wipes your local database and guest session state directly on your device.
Zero Remote Footprint: Because guest mode never contacts remote backend servers for data persistence, guest deletion requires no network requests and leaves zero residual records anywhere.
3. Request Account Deletion Without Device Access
If you have uninstalled the MealPlanner app, lost access to your Android device, or are otherwise unable to open the application, you can submit an account deletion request externally:
Alternatively, contact the developer through the official contact channel published on our Google Play Store listing.
Please provide the following details to identify your account:
Subject: MealPlanner Account Deletion Request
Your registered email address or Google Sign-In email associated with your MealPlanner account.
A clear statement requesting the permanent deletion of your account and cloud-synced records.
For your security, we may verify your identity and account ownership before executing the deletion. Once verified, all associated account credentials, profile data, and cloud synchronization records will be permanently removed from our server database within 30 calendar days.
4. Data Deleted vs. Data Retained
MealPlanner adheres to strict data minimization principles. The following table describes the exact treatment of each data category upon account deletion:

Google Play Purchases
Google Play Store order transaction records and subscription history managed directly by Google LLC
Managed by Google
Important Notice Regarding Google Play Subscriptions:
Deleting your MealPlanner account or uninstalling the application from your device does NOT automatically cancel or refund active recurring subscriptions purchased via Google Play Billing.
To cancel an active subscription and prevent future renewals, you must cancel it directly in the Google Play Store app > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
5. Legal Retention & Third-Party Services
MealPlanner does not incorporate third-party advertising SDKs or third-party behavioral analytics trackers. Account deletion completely removes all user records from our backend server database and local device storage.
To the extent required by applicable financial reporting, anti-fraud, or taxation laws, records of completed monetary transactions processed via Google Play Billing may be retained by Google LLC under Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
